Newport Beach Film Festival
My role as a feature film programmer at the Newport Beach Film Festival allows me to review submitted films, recruit major studio films, and market and program films to our audiences. Getting to program for the festival allows me the opportunity to view and advocate for the work of great known and unknown filmmakers and to create an exciting and interactive screening experience for film lovers like myself.
BROKER
I programmed Kore-eda's latest film BROKER which was given two screenings during the 2023's festival run and received high praise from the audiences.
HOLY SPIDER
I programmed Ali Abbasi's Denmark's 2023 Academy submission HOLY SPIDER to a sold-out crowd with speakers and support from the Farhang Foundation and the OC Iranian American Chamber of Commerce.
THE INSPECTION
I programmed Elegance Bratton's A24 film, The Inspection, starring 2023 Golden Globe nominee and Variety's Top 10 Actors to Watch recipient Jeremy Pope.
Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Ceremony
For the 2023 Newport Beach Honors ceremony, I accompanied talent and their teams as an on-site talent coordinator. My role ensured the talent was in scheduled attendance at their press interviews, the step and repeat, and the ceremony while tackling any issues to create a swift and easy press environment for the talent.
